A CALL TO ACTION!

About Us

TeacherTech is a free English literacy, I.T skills building, and community outreach startup founded in 2020 by David & Reaksa, an Australian/Khmer couple residing in Toul Sambo, on the far outskirts of Phnom Penh, Cambodia. We are dedicated to providing educational resources and opportunities to disadvantaged Khmer youths who face uncertain futures due to a lack of access to education.

Services & Outreach

At TeacherTech, we offer a range of services and amenities to support our community:

  1. Technology for Children:
    • Repair, upgrade, and repurpose donated PCs, laptops, and tablets to provide critical education to young minds.
    • Donate extra computers to other non-profit projects supporting Khmer youths.
    • Provide access to a computer room for internet, research, and recreation.
  2. Computers in the Home:
    • Help bridge the digital divide by providing computers to Khmer households with school-aged children.
    • Slowly but steadily increase computer access outside Greater Phnom Penh.
  3. Life Skills Lessons:
    • Teach children how to prepare simple meals and practice good food and fire safety, supporting working parents.
  4. Free Daily Education, Snacks & School Supplies:
    • Provide free English classes on weekdays, with beginner classes in the afternoon.
    • Ensure that students receive daily snacks, treats, and all necessary school supplies at no cost.

DONATE ITEMS

Your support is crucial to the success of our project. We gratefully accept donations of the following items:

  • Used PCs, laptops, tablets for repair and repurposing.
  • Books in English and Khmer for our free community library.
  • Desks and shelves for the community library.
  • Used clothing of all sizes to support students and local children.

A War on Education.

Cambodia’s history, marred by civil war and the Khmer Rouge regime, inflicted significant damage on the education system and created a persistent educational deficit in rural areas. With your help, we can fight this war on education, ensuring that no child is left behind in the technological world they will inherit.

DONATE MONEY

By donating money, you can make a direct impact on the lives of disadvantaged Khmer youths. Your generous contributions allow us to provide daily snacks, school consumables, and occasional toys to brighten the lives of these children.
